BEFORE I GET ANY FURTHER, I WANTED TO SAY I DID NOT TAG THE MATURE CONTENT BECAUSE IT SHOULD BE PRETTY OBVIOUS
I MEAN, IF IT SAYS "HOW TO DRAW BLOOD", YOU SHOULD EXPECT SOME BLOOD
Okay, This is "Savchenko's Slightly Less-Than-Legitimate Blood-Drawing Tutorial for the Blood-Lovers and the Creepily Curious"!
I probably could have thought of a better name.
A few of the sassy remarks I couldn't fit on the image:
Anime/Comedic Style:
Though it may be overused and cliche, a lot of people still like to use nosebleeds as a sign of perversion in their characters, so here is how I would go about doing that. Not that I do.
Like stated, I like using pretty bright colours, since anime is supposed to be fun. That is unless you're a fifteen year old boy trying to keep your fellow citizens from being eaten by a race of hideous giants.
Zombie:
Again, zombies are becoming more and more popular in today's culture and that has contributed to a rise in zombie-related art.
Fantasy:
The only advice I can offer here (which is really just rephrasing what I wrote in the image) is use the surrounding hues to shade and highlight your blood.
As in, if you have yellow blood, use yellow-green and yellow-orange to give it more colour and vibrance. I'm really not sure how I can make that make more sense because I am stupid and tired. I hope you understand.
Action:
I already said it.
I called this the slightly less than legitimate tutorial because it is SO rushed and SO lazy but I just wanted to get something out there because people have been asking how I draw my blood.
Of course, every artist has his or her own style and you shouldn't use this as a rule book. It is my own style and you should use it has a suggestion, or perhaps even a guideline to help you develop your own blood-drawing style.
Sorry if none of this makes sense.
I'm open to critique but just a warning, I sometimes get defensive when I'm this tired. It's only because I'm embarrassed hahaha.
